I shift to neutral and coast off the highway. Tuesday I am driving down a major highway at speed and she shuts down like I turned off the key. FInally after the same steps with the battery I get the stutter stop attempts to crank and once again, she finally starts and I am on the road again. Temp Over Temp warning and nothing when hitting the key. Then, backing out of the garage it does it again. It acts as though I am turning the key on and off quickly but not allowing her to fully start.Įventually it starts up and runs fine the next several times I drive her. 5 sec and then stops for 1 sec and does it again. I tinker with it by clearing any codes with my scanner (there were not any) and disconnecting the battery and shorting across the cables to drain the PCM, and eventually it attempts to start but only engages the starter for. Turn the key and nothing but flashing lights. It does not even attempt to engage the starter. I know that is not correct because it had been running for maybe 45 seconds. The next week, I get in and crank her up and back out of my parking spot and it dies with an Transmission Over Temp warning on the DTC. Seemed to be a bad solenoid so I replaced the starter with a new one. When I first bought it I was having an issue with it not wanting to engage the starter every time I tried to crank it. This one has 123k miles and is in really great shape inside and out. I found an '07 Hemi Limited without the rear motorized hatch (so I can do a swing-away tire carrier) but every other option I had on my 06. I sold my last '06 Commander because I had finished that build a wanted a newer one to start over with. I guess I should give a brief history on this one.
